About the Role:
We seek curious thinkers eager to shape our future. As Service Delivery Engineers working on our NextGen connectivity platform, you'll play a critical role in building our flagship product's future.
What You'll Do:
- Deploy proprietary software for new deployments in the Maritime Business Unit, support vendor integrations, drydocks, PoCs, and troubleshoot issues by collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and customers to ensure timely project delivery and adherence to standards.
- Travel internationally to install and deploy systems onboard ships, often during drydock or at ports, ensuring equipment and software are integrated and operational.
- Work on deployments, service POCs, and change activities, including pre-configuring hardware.
- Support customer escalations and operational events, maintaining SLAs.
- Document processes and hardware meticulously, manage inventory, and coordinate logistics.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and support general office operations in London.
What You'll Need:
- Willingness to travel internationally on short notice for onboard system installations and maintenance in maritime environments.
- Experience with Blade Servers, x86 servers, hypervisors (VMware ESXi, vSphere, KVM).
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, with extensive experience.
- Strong background in implementation, configuration, or troubleshooting within service provider or enterprise networks.
- Solid understanding of LAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT/PAT, static routing.
- Knowledge of SDN-NFV, SD-WAN, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP.
- Experience with routing, switching, and next-generation firewalls.
- Analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Ability to make sound business decisions to resolve technical issues.
- Understanding of operational practices in secure, highly available, and regulated environments.
- Ability to foster relationships with customers and support service levels.
- Familiarity with Google Suite, ServiceNow, and Jira is beneficial.
