A Brief Overview

The Chief Technology Advisor (CTA) fosters relationships by working closely with our Account Teams and customers. They provide leadership and vision, collaborating with technical subject matter experts and application development resources, and working with our Management Consulting organization to define strategies and deliver digital transformation solutions. The CTA's broad focus includes deploying modernized systems and transformative solutions across the IT landscape, advising CIO/CTO/EA level contacts as they transition to cloud architectures and digital transformation initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead executive and senior-level meetings with customers to understand their technical and business needs
• Develop transformational solutions for performance, reliability, and privacy, adhering to industry standards
• Conduct architecture and technical workshops, including enablement sessions with WWT experts in various domains
• Demonstrate WWT's value proposition effectively to technical and business audiences
• Understand WWT's Advanced Technology Center, Integration Technology Center, and Labs, and collaborate with their leaders
• Work with management consulting, implementation, and project teams to ensure smooth transitions from sales to delivery
• Participate in industry, product, sales, and procedural training to maintain necessary knowledge and certifications
• Provide management reports, bid reviews, and project forecasts in line with WWT's quality and business processes

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Deep understanding of infrastructure (network, storage, compute, virtualization) and information security
• Proficiency in cloud architecture and design, including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS, with experience in IT Service Delivery best practices
• Experience with software-defined networks and data centers, and modern cloud capabilities (Private, Hybrid, Public)
• Familiarity with automation and orchestration tools like Puppet, Chef, Ansible, vRealize, Cisco Cloud Center, Pivotal, Cloud Foundry, GitHub, ServiceNow, Jenkins
• Knowledge of programming languages (Python, Perl, Java, MySQL, PgSQL) and scripting for automation and orchestration
• Understanding of agile development and continuous integration
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Business acumen and executive presence
• Proven experience working with subject matter experts and maximizing ROI/TCO
