An opportunity to join the New Statesman team as an online graduate trainee.
The New Statesman is seeking a determined, talented and knowledgeable writer with a background in economics and journalism to join its online team. The successful candidate will help manage the expanding business and economy sections of newstatesman.com on a day-to-day basis – writing, editing and publishing high-quality copy in a timely manner.
Ideally the successful candidate will have an economics degree, an interest in finance and business and an understanding of how to use data to tell interesting stories. Knowledge of online publishing tools and software is desirable, as is the use of social media. A postgraduate qualification in journalism would be an advantage as would a portfolio of published writing.
