Job description

VANRATH has partnered with one of Ireland's leading family-run meat manufacturers, seeking to add a Business Development Executive / Field Sales Rep to the team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic sales team and take ownership of both new and existing sales business.

The role involves extensive travel throughout North-West Ireland. Occasional travel to the ROI site may also be required.

Salary

£30,000 - £32,000 + quarterly bonus + Company Car (EV)

Working hours

Working hours may vary depending on customer demands. The role is full-time, approximately 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day excluding lunch breaks. The company's business may require working outside normal hours and attending promotions/events, including evenings and weekends.

One day a week hybrid working from home is available.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing new accounts, managing existing accounts, and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Building relationships with key personnel such as Store Owners/Managers, Deli Managers, and Fresh Food Managers.
  • Achieving distribution and sales targets for the product range.
  • Implementing and managing in-store promotions.
  • Contacting key store personnel and retail groups promptly and professionally, updating them on promotional activities.
  • Accurately capturing all sales activity and data.
  • Staying informed on market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activities, reporting findings regularly.
  • Analyzing and acting on weekly and monthly sales reports.
  • Adhering to HACCP rules and procedures in line with company and customer standards.
  • Representing the company and its brands professionally at all times.
  • Participating in training to develop relevant skills and knowledge.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong field sales or retail experience, preferably in FMCG or Food sectors.
  • Proven ability to grow new business and develop existing accounts.
  • Ambitious, proactive, and energetic in business development.
  • Professional, articulate, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good planning and organizational abilities.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Full clean driving license is essential.
