Data Analyst – Finance Data

Salary:£85,000 + benefits

Location:Hybrid, London (Global Insurance Firm)

About the Role

SystemsAccountants is partnering with a global insurance leader to recruit aData Analystto join their expanding Finance Data & Reporting team.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection offinance and technology, acting as the bridge between the Finance function and technical teams, ensuring data solutions meet business needs.

The successful candidate will be hands-on with data, lead small projects, manage offshore analysts, and contribute to shaping the company’s growing data strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the liaison betweenFinance stakeholdersandtechnical teamsto translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Analyse financial data using the company’sData Platform, supporting both BAU and project delivery.
• Manage and resolve issues, ensuring timely problem-solving and process improvement.
• Lead small projects and oversee change requirements from initiation to delivery.
• Manage and coordinate offshore technical BA resources.
• Drive data quality and support the delivery of new finance data products.

Essential Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• AdvancedSQLproficiency.
• Experience withSQL ServerandSnowflake.
• Knowledge ofMaster Data Services (MDS)andAWS architecture.
• Familiarity withPower BIor other analytics tools.
• Solid understanding ofdata warehousingconcepts.

Business Skills

• Strongfinance experience
• Insurance sector experience (preferred).
• Proven ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
