Join a Belfast-based business as an Accounts Assistant (Payroll Lead) - you'll take ownership of weekly payroll and support purchase ledger, with scope to broaden your role over time.

A well-established organisation with on-the-ground operations and a collaborative finance team. You\'ll work alongside another Accounts Assistant and be the go-to for weekly payroll while contributing to AP and month-end support.

About you
  • Strong end-to-end payroll experience (weekly cycles)

  • Purchase Ledger experience with accounting software; comfortable with journal entries and nominal codes

  • Excellent Excel skills; high attention to detail; organised and deadline-driven; proactive team player

  • Desirable: Sage Payroll, CIS knowledge, experience in a construction environment, and NetSuite

What you\'ll do
  • Lead weekly payroll: gather inputs, process in Sage Payroll, post journals, and manage employee payments

  • Support Purchase Ledger: invoice entry/coding, payments, and supplier communications

  • Provide cover for month-end: supplier reconciliations and payment runs; general office/admin tasks as required
