An educational institution in Ipswich seeks a Senior Technician in Agriculture to support farm operations and contribute to student education. The candidate should have a good standard of education and experience in the industry, understanding health and safety. This role involves operating specialist equipment and ensuring efficient operations. The position offers a starting salary of £29,007 per annum and requires on-site presence.
Starting salary is £29,007 per annum
37 hours per week, 52 weeks a year
Working 5 days per week (one day being a weekend), with two days off together
You will play a key role in supporting the day‑to‑day operations of our farm, contributing to both our commercial activities and the education of students pursuing land‑based studies qualifications. You will receive training to operate specialist equipment and systems, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
The successful candidate will have a good standard of education, plus a range of industry experience and qualifications. As part of your role you will contribute to the wider College health and safety activity and therefore you should have a good understanding of health and safety and be prepared to undertake training in these areas e.g. first aid and fire marshal.
