English Lecturer - Leeds College of Building

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Lecturer to join our friendly and supportive team. You will play a vital role in delivering outstanding English provision to a diverse range of learners, including full-time 16‑18‑year‑olds on vocational programmes, adult learners, and apprentices.

  • A strong understanding of the barriers to learning and strategies to overcome them, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Essential Requirements
  • Subject‑related professional qualification in English/Literacy at a minimum of Level 3.
  • A recognised Level 4 teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent).
  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade A*‑C/9‑4 (or equivalent Level 2 qualification).
  • Experience teaching both GCSE and Functional Skills English.
