Job summary

Trigon Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Youth Employability Activity Coordinator to design and deliver engaging programmes for 18-24-year-olds across Northamptonshire/Leicestershire.

The role involves creating activities that build employability skills, confidence and progression towards employment, education or training, with local travel required. You will work with mentors, employers and community partners to deliver workshops, mock interviews and careers events, ensuring safeguarding and GDPR

Qualifications

• Experience planning, coordinating and delivering engaging activities for young people or young adults.
• Strong facilitation, presentation and group engagement skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience supporting personal development, employability or progression outcomes.
• Understanding of barriers affecting young people including: low confidence, poor mental wellbeing, disability, neurodiversity, housing challenges, digital exclusion, limited work experience.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational and event coordination skills.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and digital engagement tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and activities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging, employment-focused activities for young people aged 18-24.
• Develop a rolling programme of workshops, projects and group activities aligned to participant goals and progression plans.
• Deliver sessions focused on: employability skills, confidence building, teamwork, communication, digital skills, workplace readiness, personal development.
• Utilise creative themes including: sport, gaming, technology, virtual reality, creative arts, community projects, volunteering opportunities.
• Adapt delivery to suit different learning styles, confidence levels and support needs.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with young people and use strengths-based approaches.
• Coordinate delivery with community organisations, employers, education providers and youth services.
• Promote progression into employment, apprenticeships, education and training.
• Complete activity plans, risk assessments and evaluation reports; maintain records.
