The School and Role

A state-maintained community primary school in Northampton, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, is seeking an experienced Year 5 Teacher from September 2025 to February 2026. This is a full-time role with full teaching responsibilities, including planning, assessment, and parents' evenings. The role is not suited to ECTs and requires a confident teacher with strong behaviour management and a solid understanding of upper Key Stage 2 expectations.

Requirements

The desired Year 5 Teacher will have:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Recent experience teaching in UK primary schools, preferably in KS2
  • Strong understanding of the Year 5 curriculum
  • Proven ability to manage behaviour effectively
  • Confidence with full classroom responsibilities including planning and parent communication
  • A professional, proactive approach to classroom teaching
