Job summary

Jewson in Barnstaple is seeking a Yard Sales Supervisor to lead yard and branch operations, Monday to Friday with Saturday mornings. You will welcome customers, learn product lines, and ensure the team is ready for the day, coordinating deliveries and routes.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to the branch and engage with their projects.
• Learn product lines to offer helpful advice and recommendations.
• Ensure the team is set up for the day, including driver route planning.
• Assist with processing and preparing orders and loading/unloading vehicles; forklift training provided.
• Support management and act as a keyholder when needed.
• Check deliveries and report missing or damaged products.
• Maintain stock levels in warehouse and yard with regular stock counts.
• Keep the branch clean and uphold Health & Safety standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to identify improvements and opportunities.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Yard Sales Supervisor in our Barnstaple (EX31 1HN) branch!

This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday7.00am - 4.30pm and every other Saturday at 8.00am - 12.00pm

WhatYou'llBe Doing

• Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects
• Get to know our product lines so you can offer help and advice
• Ensure your team are set up for the day, including delivery drivers with route planning
• Help to process and prepare customer orders - load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a forklift truck to minimise manual handling (training will be provided!)
• Work as a direct support the management team and act as a keyholder when needed
• Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products
• Maintain stock levels in both the warehouse and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts
• Keep the branch looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority
• Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement
