Job summary

Jewson in Hexham (NE46 1HB) is seeking a proactive Yard Sales Advisor to deliver friendly, efficient service in the yard, on the counter, and on the shop floor. This full-time role involves assisting customers, maintaining high standards, and supporting loading/unloading operations.

You will build relationships, expand product knowledge, and contribute to sales while working Monday to Friday 7:30–17:00 and alternating Saturdays. Excellent benefits are included.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Yard Sales Advisor in our thriving Hexham (NE46 1HB) branch!

This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 7:30 – 17:00, and every other Saturday from 08:00-12:00.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service
• Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers current and future requirements so we can support all their needs
• Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor
• Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles
• Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required
• Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs
• Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training will be provided)
