Job summary

Jewson in Torquay is seeking a Yard Sales Advisor to join our team on a 27-hour-per-week basis. You will deliver friendly, efficient service at the yard, counter and shop floor, while ensuring accuracy in loading, packing and restocking processes.

Training is provided for forklift operation. The role offers a supportive team environment with opportunities to develop product knowledge and build lasting customer relationships in a busy merchant setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery safely; perform offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles.
• Support initiatives to increase sales, margins and service levels.
• Develop knowledge of product lines to meet customer needs.
• Load and unload vehicles, both manually and with forklift (training provided).

We are currently recruiting for a Yard Sales Advisor to join our friendly branch, in Torquay ( TQ1 4AS )

Working Hours

This is a part-time position working 27 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We offer flexibility around start times, with shifts beginning between 7:00am and 9:00am. There is also the opportunity to work every other Saturday, from 08:00-12:00.

What You'll Be Doing

• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service
• Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers current and future requirements so we can support all their needs
• Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor
• Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles
• Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required
• Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs
• Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training will be provided)
