Job summary

Jewson, part of Stark UK, is recruiting a Yard Sales Advisor for our Torquay branch (TQ1 4AS). This part-time role offers 27 hours per week with shifts 7:00–9:00am, Monday to Friday, plus every other Saturday 8:00–12:00.

You’ll greet customers, identify needs, maintain yard standards, operate loading and forklift (training provided), and help drive sales and service. You’ll thrive in a team and take pride in delivering great customer experiences.

Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for a Yard Sales Advisor to join our friendly branch, in Torquay (TQ1 4AS)

Working Hours
This is a part-time position working 27 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We offer flexibility around start times, with shifts beginning between 7:00am and 9:00am.

There is also the opportunity to work every other Saturday, from 08:00-12:00.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service
• Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers current and future requirements so we can support all their needs
• Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor
• Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles
• Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required
• Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs
• Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training will be provided)
