Job description

Chapmanslade CofE Primary School is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Wraparound Care Leader to manage the day-to-day operations of our after-school provision, starting as soon as possible.

Working Hours

Part time (12 hours 30 minutes per week, 3.15pm until 5.30pm Monday-Friday, 38 weeks per year, no Teacher Training days). Contract : Fixed Term (until 31st August 2026).

We are a small and convivial primary school with Christianity at our heart. Situated in the charming village of Chapmanslade, Wiltshire, our school is an inclusive place where every member of our school community shows love to their neighbour by demonstrating compassion, service, courage and trust. The successful candidate will ensure a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children who attend. This role involves planning and organising a range of activities suitable for primary-aged children, taking into account their interests and developmental needs.

We are looking for someone who :
  • Has a passion for delivering high quality and exciting opportunities for children;
  • Has strong interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work with a variety of pupils, staff and parents;
  • Is self-motivated, energetic and proactive and will ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality education and care for all of our children;
  • Has experience of working with children in a play / educational setting;
  • Has Food handling experience and / or a Food handling certificate (or willingness to complete one);
  • Has the ability to deal with new challenging situations;
  • Is a strong team player able to support colleagues within a small team;
  • Has a positive and flexible attitude;
  • Can demonstrate a warm and caring approach with children;
  • is First Aid trained (advantageous).
