As Workshop Team Leader, you'll oversee a team of fitters, ensuring all maintenance, repairs, and inspections are carried out efficiently, safely, and in line with company standards. You'll play a key role in daily workshop operations, supporting your team's development while maintaining a positive, safety-first culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, support, and motivate a team of workshop fitters.
  • Plan and allocate workloads to meet service and turnaround targets.
  • Carry out and oversee inspections, servicing, and repairs of plant hire equipment.
  • Ensure full compliance with company, safety, and quality standards.
  • Coach and develop team members, including apprentices.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records.
  • Support continuous improvement across workshop processes.
About You
  • NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in plant maintenance, ideally within the hire or construction industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of plant and construction equipment.
  • Confident leader and mentor with excellent communication skills.
  • Safety-focused, organised, and proactive.
  • Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
