The Company

An engineering company specialising in the design and manufacture of products for the construction sector. They are looking to recruit a Workshop Maintenance Operative to support the repair and upkeep of equipment used within the fabrication environment.

The Role

This is a hands‑on workshop‑based role focused on maintaining and repairing fabrication tools and equipment. Duties include:

  • Fault finding and repairing fabrication equipment such as welding torches, grinders and general fabrication tools
  • Carrying out basic electrical tasks, including changing plug sockets
  • Working with wiring as required
  • Liaising with shop floor staff to identify repair requirements
  • Heavy lifting and physical work within the workshop
  • Manual handling carried out in a safe manner
  • Working from own initiative to complete tasks
