Overview

Workshop Foreman – Quadring

Full-time, Permanent position

Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 17:00 with occasional weekend work when required.

Rates: To be discussed at interview stage.

Turners (Soham) Ltd is the UK’s largest privately owned transport company and we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Workshop Foreman to supervise the Workshop at our Quadring depot.

The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified workshop mechanic or have time served with experience in this position and you will be responsible for the management of workshop staff and ensuring all matters relating to mechanical services are achieved.

Responsibilities
  • Making sure all vehicles / trailers are serviced on time.
  • Giving out duties to fitters and shunter drivers.
  • Making sure paperwork is completed and signed off by fitters.
  • Helping Fitters with daily tasks and giving advice and knowledge to trainee fitters.
  • Organising breakdowns.
  • Organising parts.
  • Assisting depot managers with maintenance queries.
  • Using daily maintenance planers and updating.
Qualifications
  • Ideally a qualified workshop mechanic or time served with experience in this position.
  • Experience in management of workshop staff and coordination of mechanical services.
