A reputable main car dealership in Basingstoke, Hampshire, is seeking a Workshop Controller to oversee the workshop and drive customer service standards. The role offers a basic salary of £32,000 with uncapped OTE up to £45,000, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:30 pm, and opportunities for development within a supportive environment. The position requires proven workshop management experience and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily workshop operations to optimise efficiency and productivity.
• Supervise and motivate workshop staff to maintain high standards.

• Plan and schedule vehicle repairs, service jobs and allocate resources.
• Ensure health and safety policies are implemented within the workshop.
• Maintain accurate workshop records and monitor progress toward targets.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.

Duties of the Workshop Controller:

• Manage and oversee daily workshop operations to optimise efficiency and productivity.
• Supervise and motivate workshop staff, fostering a team-oriented environment.
• Support and support technicians to meet technical and performance standards.
• Liaise with customers regarding vehicle repairs, providing clear communication and updates.
• Plan and schedule vehicle repairs, service jobs, and resource allocation.
• Ensure health and safety policies are effectively implemented within the workshop.
• Maintain accurate workshop records and monitor progress towards service targets.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop environment.

Requirements for the Workshop Controller position:
