Overview

The Workday HCM Consultant will “bridge the gap” between the business and technical teams by solving complex problems. They will guide clients through thetransformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workdayimplementation. They must have a technical aptitude and be capable of configuringthe system to meet the business and design requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Become a Workday HCM product expert with knowledge of design,configuration, testing and implementation.

  • Leverage your expertise to recommend the best solution based on theclient’s requirements, budget and timeframe; with the flexibility to adaptthe scope as additional needs are identified.

  • Track issues and risks communicate status and escalate concernsapplicable for all clients in their portfolio.

  • Guide the client through facilitated design sessions and configurationdecisions based on best practices and an understanding of the client’sunique business requirements at all stages of the project.

  • Regularly engage and support the client through all phases of the project,ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to the Workday HCMsolution.

  • Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping theclient, the project team and the Engagement Manager abreast of changesor progress related to the project.

  • Display a hands-on expertise of the software, including loading client data, moving configuration from tenant to tenant, and configuringbusiness processes and security.

  • Act as a mentor to fellow consultants and analysts, including providingsupport for shadow assignments.

  • Actively participate in update training and internal opportunities to shareone’s skills and learnings with others within the organization.

  • Additional duties as assigned by manager

Skills & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.

  • 1+ years of Workday HCM functional implementation experience

  • Workday HCM certification highly desired

  • Experience gathering business requirements, designing and prototyping,testing, and implementing practical business solutions under multipledeadlines

  • Passion for exceptional customer service and collaboration.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively manage customer expectations.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint programs.
