Job summary

Majestic Wine in North East London is seeking a dynamic Trainee Manager on a 12-month development programme to gain hands-on experience across operations, service and leadership standards.

You will work closely with the Store Manager to prepare for future Store Manager responsibilities, including driving sales, delivering exceptional customer experiences and managing tastings. 44 hours per week, evenings and weekends required.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced retail or hospitality environments.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience.
• Strong prioritisation and problem-solving under pressure.
• Self-motivated and able to work alone or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and KPIs.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to drive loyalty and repeat purchases.
• Provide VIP concierge service with product updates and tastings.
• Promote storytelling and wine knowledge through tastings and events.
• Develop wine knowledge to support WSET qualifications.
• Maintain store appearance and compliance with policies.
• Assist with day-to-day operations: delivery, merchandising, calls to customers.
• Identify improvements to optimise store operations.
• Be an example of Majestic’s Ways of Working and mentor juniors.
