Job summary

Majestic Wine in Beaconsfield is seeking a dynamic trainee manager for a 12-month development programme that covers operations, service and leadership with a view to future store management. You will learn through a structured pathway with support from the Store Manager.

You will drive store performance, deliver exceptional customer service, and develop wine knowledge while handling daily responsibilities including stock deliveries and visiting surrounding stores as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience of working as part of a team in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service to every customer
• Ability to prioritise and strategically solve problems under pressure
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team
• A can-do attitude with a passion for solving problems
• Adaptable and resilient to changing business demands
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Wine knowledge is beneficial; willingness to learn WSET levels 2 & 3
• Hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and improving KPI performance
• Deliver exceptional customer service to drive loyalty and repeat purchases
• Offer a VIP concierge service with product updates and tastings
• Sell the story, manage a tasting counter and coordinate events
• Develop wine knowledge to support WSET qualifications and product confidence
• Maintain the store's appearance and upkeep both inside and out
