Job summary

Majestic Wine in Loughton is seeking a dynamic Trainee Manager to join a 12-month development programme aimed at building expertise across operations, service and leadership. You will work with the Store Manager to grow into a future Majestic Store Manager, supported by structured training and on-the-job experience.

You’ll drive store performance, deliver outstanding customer service, run tasting events and expand knowledge of our range.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience to every customer.
• Problem solving and prioritisation under pressure.
• Self-motivated, able to work alone and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and KPI targets.
• Deliver market-leading customer service to drive loyalty and repeat purchases.
• Offer VIP concierge service and proactively contact customers with tastings and product updates.
• Share passion for product through knowledge and manage tasting counter and events.
• Maintain up-to-date wine knowledge and pursue WSET qualifications as needed.
• Ensure store presentation and maintenance, both inside and outside.
• Assist with day-to-day operations including deliveries, merchandising and calls to customers.
• Identify opportunities to improve store operations and comply with policies.
