Job summary

Majestic Wine in Maidenhead is recruiting for a Trainee Manager on a 12-month development programme designed to train you across operations, service and leadership so you can progress to Store Manager. You will work with the Store Manager to learn the end-to-end running of a Majestic Wine store, including product knowledge, customer experience and sales strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environments.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience to every customer.
• Strong problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and with a team.
• Willingness to learn and progress through wine qualifications (WSET).
• Must hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and improving KPIs.
• Deliver market-leading customer service to drive loyalty and repeat purchases.
• Provide a VIP concierge service, updating customers on products and tastings.
• Share product knowledge, run tasting events and manage a tasting counter.
• Support your WSET progression with ongoing training and store development.
• Ensure the store presentation and operations are maintained to a high standard.
• Travel to support surrounding stores and cover shifts as required.
• Assist with stock deliveries, merchandising and daily store tasks.
