Job summary

Majestic Wine Poole is seeking a Sales Assistant to support the store team, drive sales, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will help with day-to-day store operations and ensure a high-quality shopping experience for every customer.

The role involves evenings and weekends, requires a full UK manual driving licence, and offers a path to WSET qualification with comprehensive in-house training. Salary is £26,436.80 per year, with opportunities for staff discounts and career development.

Qualifications

• Excellent time-management, delegation and problem-solving skills.
• Able to deliver exceptional customer experience to every customer.
• Self-motivated and able to work alone or in a team.
• Passion for learning about wine and passing level 2 WSET.
• Holder of a full UK manual driving licence for at least 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximizing sales opportunities.
• Deliver market-leading customer service to drive loyalty and repeat purchases.
• Offer VIP concierge service, keeping customers updated on products and tastings.
• Sell the story, not the discount, with in-depth product knowledge.
• Develop wine knowledge to support WSET qualifications and confidence in selling.
• Maintain the store's appearance and upkeep, both inside and outside.
• Handle day-to-day operational tasks including wine delivery and stock merchandising.
• Identify improvements to optimise store operations and communicate ideas to the team.
