Job summary

Majestic Wine Banstead are looking for a dynamic, ambitious and driven individual who wants to grow and develop in a company that's revolutionising retail! As a Sales Assistant you’ll support your store team with driving sales performance and the day-to-day running of your store, delivering exceptional customer service to optimise KPI performance.

Qualifications

• Excellent time-management, delegation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service.
• Self-motivated, able to work alone and as part of a team.
• Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
• Adaptable to changing business needs and priorities.
• Strong communication and time-management abilities.
• Wine knowledge is beneficial; keen to progress with wine qualifications.
• Hold a full UK driving licence with minimal penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and KPI delivery.
• Deliver market-leading customer service to foster loyalty and repeat purchases.
• Provide VIP concierge-style service and update customers on products and tastings.
• Sell the story of our range with passion and in-depth knowledge.
• Maintain wine knowledge and support WSET qualification progress.
• Ensure the store looks presentable and well-maintained both inside and out.
• Perform day-to-day operational tasks including deliveries, merchandising and customer outreach.
• Identify improvements to optimise store operations and share ideas with the team.
• Remain compliant and complete mandatory training; support junior colleagues as needed.
• Understand opening/closing procedures as a key holder when management is absent.
