Job summary

Together UK is seeking a Breathing Space - Wellbeing Worker to support service users in Berkshire West Breathing Space. This fixed-term contract focuses on empowering individuals to improve mental health, reduce loneliness, and increase independence through home and community visits.

You will build trusting relationships, help set goals, carry out risk assessments, coordinate with other agencies, and maintain clear records in Together systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting vulnerable individuals from paid work, volunteering or life experience.
• GCSE Level II English or equivalent.
• Basic competence in email and word processing software.
• Able to establish professional boundaries and a trusting environment.
• Willing to travel and participate in a 24/7 rota with notice.
• Demonstrate empathy and non-judgemental attitude toward service users.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain trustworthy relationships to build engagement.
• Help service users set and achieve personal goals to increase hope and ambition.
• Work in homes or community settings and coordinate with other agencies.
• Record concise, accurate notes using Together computer-based systems.
• Carry out risk assessments to keep service users safe.
• Support housing stability and navigation of benefits/education systems.
• Assist with domestic tasks and accompany to appointments when needed.
• Maintain professional boundaries and participate in mandatory courses.
