Job summary

Together UK is seeking a Breathing Space - Wellbeing Worker in Berkshire West. This fixed-term contract role helps service users improve mental health, reduce loneliness, and participate socially by supporting goal setting in their homes and communities.

You will build trust, assess needs, liaise with other agencies, and maintain clear records. The role requires empathy, travel, and a flexible rota to cover 24/7 shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable individuals, paid or voluntary.
• GCSE English or equivalent required.
• Basic email and word processing skills.
• Able to build trust and maintain professional boundaries.
• Willing to travel and work flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain trust with service users to boost engagement.
• Help users set and pursue personal goals to increase motivation.
• Work in homes or community settings with flexibility.
• Record concise, accurate reports in English.
• Collaborate with other services and make onward referrals.
• Carry out risk assessments and support safe housing and finances.
