Qualifications

• Qualified Wellbeing Practitioner (WP CYP IAPT) – no other qualification acceptable.
• Experience working with children, young people, and families who experience mental health difficulties, especially depression and anxiety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an aptitude for working within an inclusive, value-driven service.
• Ability to facilitate group work – training will be offered if you have no previous experience.
• Valid driver's license and access to a car – the role involves travelling across rural Dorset.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, brief evidence-based treatment interventions for children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties.
• Deliver individual and group work, including assessment, brief interventions, and follow-up.
• Use outcome measures to inform clinical decisions and service improvement.
• Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and support the transformation plan.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with IAPT and NHS standards.

The role delivers low‑intensity Cognitive Behavioural interventions for children and young people across Dorset through a mix of online and face‑to‑face sessions. The successful candidate will receive line management, caseload management and clinical supervision as part of Band 5 Wellbeing Practitioner support.
