We have a great opportunity for a Welder / Fabricator to join our clients’ ever expanding Welding Department based in Walsall.

About the company

Our client has been manufacturing sheet metal enclosures for 16 years from their factory based in the West Midlands. They produce products for Crossrail, Nuclear, Waterworks, Telecommunication and so much more.

About the role
As a Welder / Fabricator, duties will include :
  • MIG welding of mild steel to Engineered drawings
  • Maintenance of welding equipment
  • Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed
  • Grinding and linishing to achieve a high quality finish

Candidates with experience in TIG may also be considered as our client also manufacture stainless steel enclosures.

About you

Previous experience of Welding is preferred and experience working to engineered drawings would be an advantage. To be successful for the role of Welder / Fabricator, you must have / be :

  • Eager to achieve a consistently high standard of work by completing all tasks taken on in accordance with their Quality Management System
  • Flexible with hours to meet the demands of the business
  • Self motivated, hardworking, flexible and a team player who possesses a good manual skill set
  • Attention to detail - essential

If you have experience from a manufacturing background but lack the specific experience for this role and feel you would thrive in this position with training, your application will be considered.

About the hours & rewards

In the role of Welder / Fabricator, you will work 40 hours a week Monday to Friday, 07:30am to 16:00pm. Overtime is available as and when required to meet production needs.

There is a competitive rate of pay on offer of up to £15.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Benefits include a Company Pension and Free Onsite parking.
