Marrick, LLC is seeking a skilled individual to join our shop fabrication team. In this role, you will operate CNC and CNC plasma tables to produce components that meet job specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical and fabrication background, including welding, fitting, reading and interpreting blueprints, and the ability to work effectively in a challenging environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate CNC Router and Plasma Cutting Machines: Set up, operate, and monitor machines to produce parts according to specifications, ensuring accuracy and minimal waste.
- Weld and fabricate using multiple techniques.
- Blueprint Interpretation & Cutting Layouts: Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine proper cutting paths and machine settings.
- Material Handling & Setup: Safely load and unload materials using forklifts or other equipment. Set up the cutting table with proper materials, ensuring accurate alignment before cutting.
- Quality Control: Use measurement tools to verify cut accuracy and ensure dimensions meet specifications. Perform inspections and adjust settings as needed.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, calibration, and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
- Safety: Follow all safety protocols, wear PPE, ensure proper ventilation, and maintain a clean workspace.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with team members and supervisors regarding project status and issues.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Experience with CNC/plasma/router systems preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of various materials and their impact on cutting processes.
- Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Adherence to safety standards related to operating industrial machinery and handling materials.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Completion of vocational or apprenticeship program related to CNC operation or welding is a plus.
- Mathematical skills for measurements and geometric calculations.
- Experience operating forklifts and power tools safely.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training.
