A conservation organization in Dacorum seeks a Welcome and Service Assistant to engage with visitors and enhance their experience at Ashridge Estate. Reporting to the Assistant Welcome and Service Assistant Manager, you’ll be part of a team of four Welcome and Service Assistants at Ashridge Estate welcoming visitors and setting them up for their day. You'll use your knowledge of Ashridge to engage with our visitors and look to exceed their expectations ensuring that they enjoy their visit with us. You will be aiding in our growing support effort for the National Trust promoting our fundraising and membership causes. You'll also get involved in other presentation tasks on site, ensuring that Ashridge is clean, tidy and presentable. The role involves working both inside and outside in all weathers from meeting and greeting in our visitor reception to opening up the Bridgewater Monument for our visitors to explore.
Deliver exceptional customer service and sell National Trust membership; induct new volunteers; assist with litter pick; respond to visitor queries and provide accurate information. Participate in key property events, social media promotion and various presentation tasks, ensuring a memorable and engaging experience for every visitor.
Salary: £9,945.00
Contract/duration: Permanent
Hours/working pattern: Working two days a week, including every Saturday and one weekday. Based at the Ashridge visitor centre with occasional work at the Dunstable Downs visitor centre. Peak times are weekends, school holidays and bank holidays.
