Job summary

Donard Recruitment Ltd is seeking a WCA Nurse Assessor to join a leading multinational employer. The role involves conducting unbiased health condition assessments for the Work Capability Assessment and preparing detailed reports.

The ideal candidate is a Qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, OT, Physiotherapist or Paramedic with at least 1 year post-qualification experience and valid NMC or HCPC registration. Hybrid/office work schedule and training provided.

WCA Nurse Assessor

This is an exciting hybrid working opportunity for Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Paramedics to make the most of their existing clinical knowledge and take on a new role with a leading, multi-national employer with Full time and Part time roles available.

As a WCA Functional Specialist you will be providing unbiased, comprehensive assessments of the claimants health conditions or disabilities and the impact on their daily life for the Governments Work Capability Assessment (WCA) benefit.

Benefits Include:

Basic salary of £39,500

Working Hours: 9am 5pm

Hybrid/Office split 40/60 after training

Full time working hours available

Training: Full time up to 12 weeks

25 days Holidays per annum, rising to 27 days with service

Your New Role:

As a Functional Specialist your job will be taking account of a wide range of health conditions and disabilities affecting the individual to conduct a thorough assessment and delivering Work Capability Assessment reports.

Prepping each case prior to assessment and reaching evidence-based conclusions for each individual.

As a WCA Functional Specialist, you will have greater job variety and autonomy to manage cases to conclusion which includes gathering further evidence and returning all required documentation to the department.

You will assess the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting the claimant, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual and cognitive impairments.

You will have time built into your working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence and team meetings.

• 1+ years post qualification experience.
