Job summary

Donard Recruitment is seeking a WCA Assessor to join our hybrid-working team of Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Paramedics. You will provide unbiased Work Capability Assessments and deliver a personalised service to service users.

Typical duties include conducting 5–6 assessments per day (telephone/face-to-face) and writing detailed reports while maintaining high professional standards and strong IT literacy. The role supports flexible, client-centered care.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy are required.
• 2+ years post-qualification experience in a related clinical role.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 5–6 Work Capability Assessments per day, including telephone and face-to-face
• Produce accurate report writing and document evidence gathered during assessments
• Assess patients with physical, sensory, mental, or cognitive impairments and determine impact on work capability

We are now recruiting for hybrid working Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Paramedics to make the most of their existing clinical knowledge and take on a new role with a supportive, locally owned assessment provider.

As a WCA Assessor you will be providing unbiased, comprehensive Work Capability Assessments (WCA) whilst ensuring a personalised, inclusive and empathetic service for the service user.

Benefits Include:

• Basic salary £45,500
  • + 10% Performance bonus
• Hybrid, Approx 2-3 days in clinic per week

• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9-5pm (37.5 hours per week)

Your New Role:

• As a WCA Assessor, you will conduct 5-6 assessments per day including telephone/face to face assessment and (Apply online only) word report.
• Your cases and appointments will be spread throughout the day allowing you to have greater job autonomy to manage cases to conclusion.
• You will assess the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting the claimant, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual and cognitive impairments.
• You will have time built into your working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence and team meetings.

Requirements

• Qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Paramedic.
• 2+ years post qualification experience.
• Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions.
• Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy
