Job summary

AECOM in the UK is seeking Graduate Mechanical Engineers to join our Water teams, with opportunities across North and Midlands offices including Birmingham, Chesterfield, Leeds and Manchester, benefiting from a flexible hybrid working model.

You will engage in all design stages from feasibility to construction, supporting senior engineers and collaborating with civil, electrical and process teams on water and wastewater projects.

Qualifications

• MEng in Mechanical Engineering with 2:1 or higher preferred.
• Interest in water infrastructure projects.
• Willing to work in hybrid UK locations (Birmingham, Chesterfield, Leeds, Manchester).
• Good report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical design for wastewater and water projects.
• Perform pumping calculations and prepare system schematics.
• Produce equipment and drive schedules and specifications.
• Collaborate with civil, electrical and process engineers.
• Support project delivery and reporting to clients.
