Graduate Electrical Engineer – Water Infrastructure (Hybrid)

Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join the Water team in the UK, with opportunities across our North and Midlands offices. The role will involve supporting electrical design for wastewater and water infrastructure, with a path to Chartered engineer status and a flexible hybrid working model.

You'll engage through all design stages from feasibility to construction, collaborating with civil, mechanical, electrical and process engineers on UK-wide projects with major water clients.

Qualifications

• MEng in Electrical Engineering (2:1 or above) preferred.
• Relevant work experience would be an advantage.
• Willing to develop towards Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.

Responsibilities

• Support senior and lead electrical engineers in all aspects of electrical design for water infrastructure projects.
• Produce power supply capacity assessments and load calculations.
• Create electrical single line diagrams, cable schedules and lighting design specs.
• Prepare MCC/Control Panel specifications including ICA scopes.
• Coordinate with internal/external design teams, clients and contractors.
