Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Graduate in Water to join the UK team at Chesterfield on a hybrid basis. You’ll work on hydraulic modelling, water networks and related water infrastructure projects, developing design and analytical skills alongside experienced engineers.

You'll gain exposure to feasibility studies, reporting, and site visits, with opportunities to progress toward professional registrations such as ICE and CIWEM as you grow within the Water team.

Qualifications

• BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering with 2:1 classification
• MEng in Civil, Structural or Water Engineering MSc would be an advantage
• Water-related modules would be an advantage
• Relevant work experience would be an advantage
• Willingness to work towards ICE & CIWEM qualifications
• Good report writing and basic Word/Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Undertake numerical analysis for potable, surface and wastewater systems
• Conduct technical feasibility studies for potable water, foul water, surface water and attenuation
• Produce designs of water infrastructure such as pump systems and pipe networks
• Produce sketches, models and final working drawings
• Keep up-to-date with regulatory legislation and guidelines
• Work with team on technical work, site work and project management
• Opportunities for site visits to understand design implementation
