Job summary

Stantec in the UK is seeking a Process Engineer – Water Sector to join our growing Process Engineering teams in Reading, Brighton, Southampton or Cambridge. You’ll work across Clean Water and Wastewater projects, developing process engineering solutions and collaborating with multidisciplinary specialists to deliver practical, sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or related discipline.
• Interest or experience in process engineering within the water sector.
• Understanding of process engineering principles and water/wastewater treatment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop process engineering solutions, including calculations, mass balances and hydraulic assessments.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications and design documentation.
• Support process design from feasibility to detailed design and construction support.
• Contribute to site investigations, asset assessments and treatment optimisation.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and environmental specialists.
• Work with project teams to deliver practical, sustainable outcomes.
• Build technical capability through mentoring, training and hands-on experience.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices.
