Job summary

Stantec in the UK is seeking a Process Engineer for the Water Sector, based in Cambridge with possible roles in Reading, Brighton or Southampton. You will work across Clean Water and Wastewater projects, delivering engineering solutions and contributing to project lifecycle stages.

You will develop process engineering calculations, reports and design documentation while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable outcomes. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or related discipline.
• Interest in developing a career in process engineering within the water sector.
• Understanding of process engineering principles and water/wastewater treatment.
• Good analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organise workload and meet deadlines.
• Enthusiasm for learning and developing technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Develop process engineering solutions: calculations, mass balances, hydraulics and treatment evaluations.
• Prepare technical reports, specs and calculations.
• Support process design from feasibility to construction support.
• Contribute to site investigations, asset assessments and optimisation.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and environmental specialists.
• Work with project teams to meet client requirements and deliver practical outcomes.
• Build technical capability through mentoring, training and hands-on experience.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices.
