Job summary

Stantec in the UK is seeking a Process Engineer – Water Sector to join our growing teams across Reading, Brighton, Southampton or Cambridge. You will develop process solutions for Clean Water and Wastewater projects, working with civil, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and environmental specialists.

This role offers exposure to project lifecycles from feasibility to construction, with mentoring, training and opportunities to advance towards chartered status.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical/Process Engineering or related field is essential.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop process engineering solutions for Clean Water and Wastewater projects.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, calculations and design documentation.
• Support process design from feasibility through detailed design and construction support.
• Contribute to site investigations, asset assessments and treatment optimisation.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and environmental specialists.
• Understand client requirements and deliver practical, sustainable outcomes.
• Build technical capability through mentoring and hands‑on experience across projects.
