Job description

North Worcestershire Water Management is a shared service for councils in north Worcestershire. Our aim is to protect and enhance the water environment whilst improving flood resilience. We look after ordinary watercourses in the area.

We are an enthusiastic team of professionals with environmental backgrounds. We respond to flood events, investigate flood issues, design schemes and deliver projects to reduce or mitigate flood risks ranging from balancing ponds to individual property defence and resilience measures.

You’ll assist the delivery of a property flood resilience scheme to households, engaging with communities and individuals, contractors, surveyors and partner organisations as well as helping the team across a broad range of work that we do. The project will run for 24 months.

Additional Information
  • You must have a degree in a relevant subject.
  • You may have some experience or be a recent graduate looking for that first role.
  • You’ll need to have a vehicle, be able to cope with walking over rough ground, be good at talking with people and have good maths and English skills.
  • You will need to be available for occasional work outside normal office hours.
  • This is a 2 year fixed term contract
