AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer for our Water team in Chesterfield to work on high-profile UK and international projects. You will contribute to multi-disciplinary design, assessments, and feasibility studies across potable, foul, and surface water systems.

The role offers exposure to design at all stages, on-site project work, and mentoring within a national Water team, with opportunities for career progression and a flexible hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• Experience in water sector consultancy is required.
• Proven ability to perform engineering assessments and design calculations.
• Experience with options appraisal and economic evaluation is desirable.
• Working towards chartership in a relevant institution.

Responsabilités

• Work closely with teams to deliver impactful solutions for communities, contributing to technical work, site work, and project management.
• Conduct technical and feasibility studies for potable, foul water, surface water, and attenuation needs.
• Be involved in all design stages, including feasibility studies, outline designs, detailed designs, and reports and technical specifications.
• Perform numerical analyses using advanced software tools to evaluate potable, surface, and wastewater systems.
• Design water infrastructure, such as treatment plants, pump systems and pipe networks, emphasizing safety in design by preparing Designer’s Risk Assessments and working with technicians.
• Gain valuable on-site experience through site visits and project implementation.
