Job summary

AECOM, a global infrastructure leader, seeks Civil Engineering graduates to join the Water team on a hybrid basis in the UK. You will contribute to hydraulic modelling, design, and water infrastructure projects while developing through a structured graduate programme.

As part of the Water specialists, you’ll gain exposure to multiple disciplines, perform calculations, and advance toward professional qualifications like ICE/CIWEM, with learning and development supported in a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering with a 2:1 classification (or equivalent).
• MEng in Civil, Structural, or a Water Engineering related MSc (civils) would be an advantage.
• Water related modules would be an advantage.
• Willing and able to work towards professional qualifications such as ICE & CIWEM.
• Permanent right to work in the UK &/or Ireland as visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Undertake numerical analysis including computer-based programmes for potable, surface and wastewater systems.
• Conduct technical and feasibility studies to appraise solutions for potable, foul, surface water and attenuation requirements.
• Produce designs of water infrastructure such as pump systems and pipe networks with attenuation.
• Create sketches, models, and check final working drawings.
• Stay updated with regulatory legislation and guidelines affecting design work.
• Collaborate with team members on technical work, site work and project management.
• Possibility to work on site and attend site visits to understand design implementation.
