Overview

Water Hygiene Technician
Location: Covering the South of England
Salary / Pay Rate / Package: Circa £40,000 pa depending on experience
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time

Are you an experienced Water Hygiene Technician with plumbing experience looking for your next opportunity? Vector Recruitment Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for a dedicated Water Hygiene Technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring compliance, safety, and the smooth operation of water systems across a wide range of client sites.

You will be covering the South of England, with occasional travel further afield, and will require staying away from home at times.

Responsibilities

• Plumbing remedial work and pipework modifications
• Removal of dead legs and TMV (thermostatic mixing valve) servicing, including fail-safe testing
• Clean and chlorination of tanks and water systems
• Calorifier inspections
• Completing water monitoring logbooks, service reports, and observations via mobile applications
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with Legionella Control (L8) and HSG274 guidelines

Requirements

• Recognised NVQ/C&G plumbing qualification
• Previous experience in water hygiene remedials, including plumbing modifications and TMV installations
• Knowledge of Legionella Control (L8) and HSG274
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to travel and stay away when required
