Job summary

Yorkshire Water is recruiting a Water Regulation Inspector to join the Clean Water Service Delivery Team across East Yorkshire. You will assess plumbing systems for regulatory compliance, carry out audits and inspections, and help protect public health by enforcing Water Regulations.

The role is permanent, 37 hours per week, with travel to multiple sites. NVQ level 2 plumbing qualification and knowledge of Water Regulations are essential; training may be provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Qualified plumber to minimum NVQ level 2.
• Ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
• Knowledge of Water Regulations would be an advantage, with training available.

Responsibilities

• Assess plumbing systems for regulatory compliance via audits, inspections, and investigations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritise remedial work.
• Apply statutory enforcement mechanisms to secure compliance.
• Inspect new premises and workmanship quality, raising awareness of Water Regulations.
• Provide technical advice to customers to help achieve compliance.
