Job summary

Yorkshire Water is seeking a Regulatory Reporting Lead in Leeds to coordinate, analyse and deliver water resources regulatory submissions. You will work with data owners and technical specialists to ensure robust reporting and strong regulator relationships.

The role involves leading annual reviews, data reconciliation, audits, and preparing board papers, with hybrid working and a 37-hour week.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a relevant subject area.
• Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI and Word.
• Experience of extracting, reconciling, validating and analysing complex information from multiple datasets.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to lead effective data quality-assurance processes.
• Ability to plan and manage regulatory reporting projects with limited supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for publication and audit.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of regulatory reporting requirements including the Water Resources Management Plan and Drought Plan annual reviews.
• Collate, extract, reconcile and analyse information from multiple datasets with robust QA processes.
• Lead audits and respond to regulator questions with supporting evidence.
• Engage with regulators and maintain constructive relationships, including interim updates on progress.
• Prepare Board papers with clear updates on performance and regulatory submissions.
• Translate complex data into clear, accurate reports for publication, audit and senior decision-making.
• Represent Yorkshire Water at industry forums and manage external consultants where needed.
• Develop and improve reporting processes to build a centre of excellence for water resources regulatory reporting.
