Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Water Regulations Inspector to cover London and the Thames Valley. You will drive a company van to visit domestic and commercial properties to assess plumbing systems for compliance with Water Supply & Fittings Regulations.

No prior industry experience is required; training will be provided. The role offers 38 hours per week, a salary of £30,500 per annum, and a company van, with generous benefits and pension.

Qualifications

• No industry experience required; training provided.
• Valid driving license and willingness to drive company van.
• Awareness of Health and Safety regulations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out reactive and proactive inspections to support regulatory targets.
• Checking the work of approved plumbers and monitoring standards and customer service.
• Checking reduced-pressure zone valve installations.
• Helping with high-risk and high-profile investigations, including complex cases with water quality contamination.
• Managing notifications about plumbing changes.
