Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Water Regulations Inspector to cover the Ashford region. You’ll inspect domestic and commercial properties, check plumbing works and support regulatory targets, with a company van and a 38-hour week.

No industry experience is required; training will be provided. You’ll drive a company van and ensure compliance with Water Supply & Fittings Regulations while contributing to investigations and customer service.

Qualifications

• No industry experience required, training will be provided.
• Valid driving license is required.
• Hands-on experience in plumbing, construction or vehicle mechanics is beneficial.
• City and Guilds Craft certificate in Plumbing or NVQ equivalent is advantageous but not essential.
• Awareness of Health and Safety regulations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out reactive and proactive inspections to support regulatory targets.
• Checking the work of approved plumbers and monitoring standards and customer service.
• Assisting with high-risk investigations where water quality issues are confirmed.
• Managing notifications about plumbing changes.
