Job summary

Yorkshire Water is seeking a Water Regulations Inspector to join the Clean Water Service Delivery Team. The role involves regulating drinking water quality and enforcing Water Regulations across Yorkshire, with daily site visits and cross-site inspections.

You will assess plumbing compliance, deliver technical guidance to customers, and support improvements while upholding health and safety standards. This permanent position offers development opportunities and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Qualified plumber to minimum NVQ level 2.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assess plumbing systems for regulatory compliance via audits, inspections, and investigations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritise remedial work.
• Apply statutory enforcement mechanisms to secure compliance.
• Provide technical advice to customers to help achieve compliance.
• Record inspection feedback and maintain customer database records.
• Prepare and issue customer correspondence and inspection reports.
• Report KPIs and activities to Team Manager monthly.
