Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our Waste Water team in the Thames Valley North area. You will inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair electrical equipment across sites with minimal supervision, ensuring systems stay operational for customers.

Base location is Little Marlow STW, with work across Thames Valley North including Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Oxford and Marlow.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprentice with experience in electrical systems.
• 18th Edition preferred; training can be provided.
• Problem solver capable of identifying issues and implementing solutions.
• Excellent communicator with internal/external staff and contractors.
• Resilient and able to work with minimum supervision.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety in the industry.
• Team player across diverse teams and willing to develop others.
• Hold a Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and fault-diagnose electrical/mechanical plant across sites.
• Undertake reactive and planned maintenance, respond to alarms.
• Record work and asset information to improve performance.
• Provide technical advice and coaching to staff, including apprentices.
• Deliver excellent customer experience and professional interactions with customers.
